Kalagura Gampa Indigo seeds are given in a pack of 10 grams with estimated 1000-1500 seeds that have a germination percentage of 20-30 percentages. We can say this very confidently after experiencing the sowing process of the seeds ourselves.
 Kalagura Gampa Indigo seeds will grow into Indigofera tinctoria, commonly known as True Indigo. It is one of the oldest plants in cultivation that has been used for thousands of years to produce the beautiful indigo dye.
The leaves can generally dye cloth to a rich bluish-purple. But it is predominantly used to make our original kalagura Gampa Indigo Powder which is a natural chemical-free hair dye.
Species of Indigofera are mostly shrubs, though some are small trees or annual or perennial herbs. This shrub can be annual, biennial, or perennial, depending on its climate.
Indigo Seeds Plant is a member of the legume family, so if you grow it in your garden you get the added benefit of adding more nitrogen to the soil. On average, the indigo plant grows up to 2 to 3 feet. With enough light, the blooming season of this plant is around June- July. It is a very easy plant to grow, given the right conditions.
The species, in general, prefers full light to grow well so avoid growing them indoors. The plant will grow to its maximum capacity with well-spaced sowing of seeds, medium watering, and well-drained soil.

Uses of Indigo plant:


1) Leaves are used to make traditional bluish-purple dye color.
2) Leave are used to make the Kalagura Gampa indigo powder, a natural hair dye without chemicals
3) The indigo plants, part of the legume family, add nitrogen to the soil utilizing nitrogen-fixing bacteria and thus are particularly valuable as a soil-enriching.
