Telagapindi is made from white sesame seeds.
Telagapindi is nothing but powder of sesame oil cake. white sesame seeds to extract oil using wooden press, the oil cake is then sun dried, pulverised and hygienically packed.
In some parts Telagapindi(Defatted sesame flour) is widely used in cooking and also given to lactating mothers for its rich source of lignans (glucosides of sesaminol and sesamolinol).
It also contains valuable compounds such as proteins, minerals, dietary fibers and vitamins.
